If you had an OEM key then you have to buy Windows again. Its 5$ pfff

If you had a Retail key just activate Windows using the same key

Don't know a fix, although I know why it's happening. Whenever u install a fresh copy of windows and activate it, the system records the system hardware ID and remembers it. When you upgraded your rig, the hardware ID changed and it showed that your OS was not installed on this system.

A motherboard is normally marked as "a significant hardware change" and for the most part, requires a re-activation. OEM versions of Windows is supposed to be tied to a system and a motherboard change is seen as a different machine by Microsoft. I use a retail key which I got for a sweet price to circumvent those issues.
