Fettucine is superior, and all its cousins, such as Linguine. You wouldn't want Spaghetti or even angel hair in your pasta carbonara would you? of course not.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Spaghetti without question. Aside from the fact that I'm not a big fan of Alfredo sauce (typical pairing for the Fettuccine noodle), the noodle itself is just too thick and too wide, leaving a non-optimal noodle to sauce ratio.

Spaghetti nails that middle ground. It's not too thin, and not too thick. It's also symmetrical. And to top it off, spaghetti sauce (tomato based sauce) is just fantastic.

Penne is fantastic, and is actually probably my favourite noodle. I make a killer baked chicken penne using a Rose sauce and a ridiculous amount of cheese.

Why not both?

If I had to choose one, definitely spaghetti without a doubt. Rigatoni still reigns supreme though :D

It's not a real question imo, in Italy you eat them depending on the recipe you want to make

For example a carbonara MUST go with spaghetti, who would eat a carbonara with fettuccine? (please don't tell me you do)

I would definitely eat a boar meat ragù with fettuccine or again, another example mushrooms and cream definitely goes better with fettuccine

I mean, there are literally too many kinds of pasta used differently and someone who knows them just starts to prefer an entire recipe rather than the specific type of pasta itself

Rigattoni can suck it. It's not even food. It's a tapas at best.

All pasta is good. I never saw it as a competition. Ravioli is the most fun to make by far though

No, I would not. However, with a red sauce on the chunkier side, spaghetti any day.

And for stir fry, angel hair can be great mixed with spaghetti (put away your pitchforks and torches, it's delicious. Try it.).

I do love how chewy fettuccine can be... So both. I choose both. Or all three. However you count.

I'd have to agree with you though, it is more or less like tapas.

It isn't particularly filling however a decently sized bowl of it will get me through the day with no problems.

It really depends on the sauce if you are going to do it proper. You dont want a heavy eggy pasta with creamy sauces, things like spaghetti work with creamy and oil based sauces, shells can be stuffed or used in soups, wide and flat noodles are good for heavier sauces...

Otherwise it doesnt matter.

Myself, I eat all the pastas in any form and mixture.  I'm the type that throws green sweet peas and tuna with cheese on some.

Also, fettuccine carbonara exist: https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/42585/fettuccini-carbonara/

spaghetti because I can make it from whatever garbage I have left and some tomato sauce.

muh specs

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it.

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff.

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch
