Corsair HX vs. AX. vs RM?

Trail Mixorz

I know the RM is quieter, but is there a performance difference from the rest? They're around the same price so I assume there wouldn't be much of a difference. And is the AX just a fully modular version of the HX?

RM = Silent and modular but huge

HX = Silent but not modular and regular size

AX = Silent, Modular and regular size

My System Specs: (Short list) i7 4770k, GTX 780, many SSD's, a 2 TB HDD(deceased :( ), Corsair 650D. Full list: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/kchriz6097/saved/8dh7YJ

Upgrade Plan: Acquire some Black Noctuas then add 16 or 32GB of 2133MHz memory

Just get a Seasonic gold/platinum PSU

AX units are a Seasonic OEM.

For the rest:

RM = Bad

HX = Average, and bad for the money

AX = Very good, but bad for the money

RM's aren't that bad, at least they're Gold and modular which is something you don't get out of most PSU's

The Gold certificate won't be very useful when the cheap CapXon caps go bad after a few years. Enough of modular PSU's.

M12II? Cooler Master V series? Most XFX units?

you say HX is bad for the money, but here it's on sale with rebates and stuff for $89.99, so for that price it's a go?

Yes, for $89.99, the HX750v2 is indeed a good deal.
