I overclocked my laptop

I'm wondering why when I overclocked my laptop my processor is running at 2.7 gigahertz but the max stated by AMD for my processor is 2.1 gigahertz

Running at a faster clock speed is kind of the point of overclocking?

Welcome to the forum!

Probably because you overclocked it? I'm going to take a guess that AMD means the CPU will only boost up to 2.1Ghz on its own, but you can overclock it further if you want to do that

You probably shouldn't be overclocking if you don't know what the word even means.

Also, don't overclock laptops.

Overclocking is something that should be done when you have more knowledge of it, not just knowing what the word means.

Isn't that kind of obvious you should have some knowledge of what you doing before you do it. Y'all need to think before you type
