New CPU 9700k and motherbaord causing issues!

I installed a new CPU and motherbaord in my system. They are the 9700k CPU and Asus rog Z390-H motherboard.

Ever since installing them, I keep getting blue and screens and computer freezes.

Examples of blue screen errors that have show up are 

• SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
• SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION

I've completely re-installed windows and all drivers so that I know it isn't a software issue.

I mainly seem to get issues when running games or other more performance intensive workloads.

 

 

Things I've tried so far:

• Doing a disk check - nothing came up
• Memory check - nothing came up
• See if I could force it to happen with synthetic workloads - the errors seem to be random

 

Any suggestions on what to try next would be greatly appreciated! I don't habe any spare hardware, so swapping things out wont be an optoin for me.

can you RMA the CPU and Mobo? if you can, do it.
