I’m traveling-but I’m cheap.

Ok, so I’m going on a trip this summer. It’s gonna be a long plane ride. I want to do some gaming, but I’m super cheap. Really cheap. I have a crappy old laptop that barely works but it’s not for gaming. What do you suggest? My budget is under $300 if possible. If not, at least keep it under $400.

That’s a good idea but not entirely what I was thinking. Although... maybe. Any other ideas

What laptop is it? Some of the internal components could be upgraded.

Ooh boy- a tech forum isn’t gonna like this. It’s an old Acer Aspire One ZA3. It’s running windows 10. Intel Atom processor. 4gb of Ram I think. When I open one tab on chrome the thing just goes crazy and slows way down.

adjust taste, spend those 400 bucks on games done by Slitherine/Matrix games/ John Tiller software. Most of the games have a p4 as cpu requirement. Might save some money for an extra battery loader

Yeah but I already have games on steam. I’m looking for hardware recommendations.

There's nothing wrong with it, being a tech forum people ought to be a bit more understanding of why people could have what they do.

What is the exact part number on the bottom?

I know that the drive could be upgraded as well as the wireless adapter, however I don't know if you can add ram without the exact model. You will most likely run into a decent amount of slow down simply due to it having an older model Atom.

I found that an Oculus Go is a great thing on long flights. It can do movies, games, no glare from the window and you won't even notice when the plane crashes in the middle of the ocean.

GPD XD Plus.

It can emulate well up to PS1 / N64. I think DS games work fine.
