.bat file to execute when on battery

I was wondering today, is there a way to get a .bat file to execute itself when I switch to battery? 

 

Basically I want to automate closing few apps that I always end up forgetting and leaving it open in the background

Windows has scheduled tasks for this.

I never really properly explored into it, will look into it in this evening.
