do you believe that the rtx 2080 has problems?

benjaminr

The first batch of cards did have this memory reliability problem (as well as BIOS not working as intended and needs to be reflashed). I havent heard of later batches showing the same problem though. I'd treat it as "individual cases" for now.

He said somewhere in the video that his card was a review sample. And considering I haven't heard about this guy up until now, it likely exchanged hands at least a few times before it go to him and who knows what those reviewers did with the card.

He;s not the most up-to-date one for sure, so take what he said with a grain of salt.

If you're confused, ignore this channel for now.

Although the 20 series had a few more bad GPUs, the chance is still far under %1. Der8aur, partnered with a major retailer, noted that the return rates weren't distinguishable from the 10 series card.

Even if you get a bad card, you can always just get a replacement.

If I remember correctly the problem (at one point in time) was NVIDIA blaming people for cards that didn't work and refusing to help. "Oh it broke? Nah we're perfect, we know you edited the BIOS to make it run at 52139081GHz so eat it and buy a new card"
