I probably have the best system on this forum. I debated posting it because I wouldn't want to make any one jealous but figured what the hell

AMD Super Max XL FX6300

ASUS lightning bolt french fry M5-A97 R2.0 Mobo

Kingston hyperflash flux capacitor 1600 gigawatt ram

PNY GTX super pro max 1060 3 GB

2 blazing fast kick your butt before you know what hit you 128 GB SSD

A 2 TB hardrive... It's just a hard drive people

A standard Rosewill hyper flash 24 k gold titanium super flex case

And an Acer 1080p, max pro hyper double retina 24 in Monitor.

And to power this massive beast I have 3 separate 20 amp breakers feeding the EVGA 600 watt reactor pro thunder power supply

Uhhhh...that is a joke, right? If yes, make sure to add a /s at the end of that first statement so we know you're kidding.

If not...

Spoiler

That looks like a mid-range system from 7 years back (although the GPU is recent enough).

CPU: AMD FX was a notoriously hot and slow system. The fact that the design of that chip is 7 years old doesn't help either. A Ryzen 5 2600 has the same number of cores, twice the threads, and is much faster and more efficient. The Passmark rating is more than twice as large as the FX 6300. Basically every other chip on this forum is faster.

Mobo: That looks like a nice board. It's got solid VRM cooling and large heatsinks. However, it only supports Socket AM3, which is an old standard.

Memory: Memory speed isn't everything, especially on older builds. Make sure to list your memory speed as well. DDR4-3600 is common.

GPU: A GTX 1060 is pretty fast, although it might be bottlenecked by your CPU. But it's definitely not the fastest graphics card on the forum.

SSDs: Your SSDs are SATA drives. These are plenty fast, but NVMe drives are often several times faster. With mine, I can't even see the Windows 10 boot animation due to the speed.

Case: No objections with the case. Just be sure it has some good airflow for that furnace of a CPU.

Monitor: 1080p is nice. It's probably the target gaming resolution of this system.

PSU: I'm fairly certain that you do not have three separate 20 amp breakers powering a single 600-watt PSU. A system drawing 600 watts from a 120-volt AC socket draws 5 amps.

So my point is that you have a nice and solidly built system, but just be warned that it is not the fastest out there. To improve the performance of your rig, I strongly suggest upgrading the CPU. Anything Ryzen is fast and cheap. A R5 2600 is a good first step along with a B350 motherboard.

I have no idea what I'm doing and no one can stop me.

This says it all.

An 80 plus rated 600 W PSU will only ever draw up to 750 watts from the wall.  Assuming a north american building, the wall provides 120 volts.  Using A=W/V, the most current that a (working) 600 W, 80+ rated PSU will draw is 6.25 amps.

Then again, they are running FX.

So, I recently graduated uni, and as a gift received a solid budget for the specific purpose of yeeting it at an overkill feel-good build. Not recommended for anyone looking for any kind of a price-to-performance ratio that makes sense. Though I did end up having to cheap out a bit on the ram and ssd, but the ssd is fine because this one will be my secondary anyway - I'm getting a gen4 as soon as they get good

Funny, but true story, I actually tripped a breaker in my house while overclocking my FX 8350 (in search of hitting 5GHz) and overclocking a GTX 760 at the same time - running P95 with Unigine Haven benchmark at the same time. Had everything loaded up and kicking out lots of heat. We live in an old house with terrible circuitry from the 60's though, so I'm not that surprised. The vacuum cleaner trips that breaker all the time. lol
