(Gaming monitor) Can someone help me and explain about nvidia and freesync monitors

Hey guys, can i buy freesync monitor with nvidia graphic card? My budget is 400€ ,how does that with gsync and freesync work?Can i buy every freesync monitor?Can u recommend me gaming monitor?

There are certain monitors that are "verified" by Nvidia to work.

 

I have a freesync monitor with a gtx 1080 but turning on Gsync via freesync pretty much breaks games for me.

 

These are the currently supported ones:

• Acer XFA240
• Acer XG270HU
• Acer XV273K
• Acer XZ321Q
• Agon AG241QG4
• AOC G2590FX
• Asus MG278Q
• Asus VG258Q
• Asus VG278Q
• Asus XG248
• Asus XG258
• BenQ XL2740

nvidia = gysnc only

amd = freesync only

 

GSYNC and FREESYNC are the same thing, and essentially provide smoother gameplay below the monitor's refresh rate.

I.E. if your monitor is 120Hz and you consistently get 80fps, then it will look better on a GSYNC/FREESYNC monitor.

 

Supposedly. I've never had one or tried one.

Inaccurate now, Nvidia rolled out drivers that allows their GPU's to work with freesync.

 

Its rocky, but it works if you get a monitor thats verified.

What do you think acer predator monitors?I actually bought acer predator x2 400€ but it was defect so i send it back.So the question is should i buy the same one or another?The problem is gsync are too expensive.Acer predator is not that expensive.

Depends which specific monitor you're talking about. Though, generally acer isnt a bad monitor manufacturer
