4k for Gaming/Editing and Entertainment

Hello

Last time i tried 4k was with Benq PD3200U back in July 2017 but my big issue back then was that the windows 10 upscaling was just broken and didnt look right with most things being wrong size or resolution as in blurry icons and such, i was wondering if that has been fixed or just overall thoughts on current 4k.

Nope, go 3440x1440p ultrawide, much more worthier.

Hi

I am having no issue using a 32" LG 4k monitor.

I used a Samsung 28" 4k monitor from 2015 to 2017 and had text size issues with apps with fixed font size to the point that I set windows to 2560 X 1440. With a 32" monitor I can keep the resolution at 4k all the time but if there were 34 to 36" 4k monitors available I would buy one.

Gaming on a 4k monitor only has made sense to me with a GTX 1080 ti. Before that I used 2 GTX 980 tis in SLI. If the game did not support SLI I had to drop the resolution to 1440. Older AAA games were the exception.

Only a RTX 2080 ti at 4k is equivalent to a GTX 1060 at 1080p so there is no feeling that my computer is powerful at all.

I only used a 4k monitor for photo and 3D editing. I prefer 4k since my standard rendering size is 8k and it is easier to spot errors(less zooming in) in Photoshop.

The Photos I edited were usually printed from 2.5 to 3 meters tall and were viewed from about a meter away. Scrolling around looking for errors takes less time at 4k.
