Yes, mobo isn't the issue. Your ram and case will determinate if cooler fits or not. There are few exceptions, mainly with Intel's workstation sockets and smaller ITX boards.

Most big CPU coolers go over the RAM, so check whether your RAM is too "tall", I think if it's "high profile" RAM you might have an issue, but I don't know if that term means a standard height or a range of heights.
