why am i not getting 1809?

has the 1809 update been delayed again? i'm running Windows 10 1803 bootcamp'ed on a mid 2012 macbook pro.

The Media Creation Tool didn`t worked for me. During the update, it stops at 14% restarts, reverts the changes and yea, no update. So i just reinstalled my PC

You have to install it manually. It doesn't roll out to everyone yet, it seems.

Instead of creating a USB stick using the Media Creation Tool (assuming you are), use it to download the ISO version, then mount and try updating that way.

reinstalling etc won't work in my case because that will mess up BootCamp...

Ah, I've not used Boot Camp in a while so I can't be certain what would happen, but the ISO file will mount in Windows and is installed from there so it shouldn't be different from an update from Windows Update.

Update blocks are put in place to people who don't have a system that is compatible.

Make sure all your software and drivers (including printer, keyboard, mouse, etc) are up-to-date.

If you still don't have the update, then your system is still not ready for 1809, you'll need to wait longer.

 

Forcing update may result in issues during the upgrade process or after the update process.

@GoodBytes I installed the BootCamp support software which should install the drivers etc... 

 

and why would a machine from 2012 be incompatible? I thought it was only newer machines that had problems...
