So I am stuck in a startup repair boot after trying to check for bad registries

Windows2000

So my computer was booting fine, but it started freezing randomly so I decided to do a registry check using the Windows Driver Utility. I followed instructions on this website: https://www.itechtics.com/2-ways-check-bad-drivers-windows/

Then I got stuck into the startup repair bootloop. Automatic repair fails, and the log file srttrail.txt tells me it couldnt find the reason after running the tool 9 times.

So I disabled the automatic repair on startup using

  • bcdedit /set {default} recoveryenabled No

and I am still stuck

I made a usb recovery drive on another computer, and tried to run it, but it just goes back to the troubleshooting page.

How do I use the recovery flash drive to fix windows?

That software has more then likely borked your windows installation (you should never mess with the registry as you can break your OS like this software has just done) so you're going to have to find a way to back up any files you need off the drive, nuke it and start from scratch as it's more then likely unrepairable,
