soo ive seen alot of questions about this case already but i still want to ask myself.

whats the max thickness for rads in this case? i even found this image on google

 

but like is that including fans already or does one read this. basically how much room is there if you put a rad with a single side of fans at the bottom before you touch the gpu

and how much on the top until you interfere with the mobo?

i have a coupple of centimeters, only goes up and covers the bottommost PCIe slot with a 45mm rad and a Fractal Dynamic fan

could you do me a favor and actually measure from the bottom of the rad to the bottom of the top most gpu?

I have two 60mm thick radiators with regular 25mm fans in my O11 Dynamic, and on the top there's a 5mm vertical and a 15mm horizontal gap between the motherboard and the fans. On the bottom it goes up to the fourth expansion slot on the case with about 20mm horizontal to the motherboard.

Definetly not in the top, that would interfere with the motherboard and the CPU power cables. In the bottom depends on your GPU, your motherboard and your loop design. What GPU and mobo do you want to use?

basically replacing my case with the hardware in the signature

if i mounted the fitting on top of the card

Oh, the MSI aero is perfect, because you don't have the DVI port in the bottom, that would interfere with a 80mm rad. And yes, there is an unused bracket, because ATX mobos usually don't have PCIE slots right under the I/O.

But that's where your mITX board shines with its higher 16x slot. In my case with the top bracket unused, the distance you asked for is still 40mm. With the higher PCIE slot you get 20mm in addition, or enough for a 80mm rad and the fittings like I have them in the bottom.

ohh nice thank you very much i think ill be getting the case then. 

 

do you think if i go 80 on the bottom and 60 on top i could still fit one at the back or would that interfere with the other 2?

That depends on where you want to mount your pump and reservoir. There's 60mm between the top radiator and the side and 65 mm on the bottom. The space on the between the vertical rad mount and the side panel is another 50mm. If you use a 60mm rad in the top and a 80mm rad in the bottom and wanted to mount another radiator there, you'd need a pump res combo that is 225mm tall or shorter, so that it could fit between the top and bottom rads. I'll make a little concept in CAD for what that would look like.

res i got covered (100 d5 combo by ek) assuming the mounting hardware allows it but what about clearance for fittings if one were to go with 3 rads?

For mounting the res, the Singularity Computers Core is the sexiest, but anything that mounts the res to 120mm fans will work. I'm working on the CAD right now, and you'll see the fitting situation there

Aaaaand Fusion 360 crashed right as I wanted to make the renders and the autosave is f-ed up. But to get the rad in the side connected, you'd have to mount it outside the main compartement (so max thickness 45mm) and the fans on the inside, with the radiator openings on the top. With 25mm extensions and 90° rotary fittings, you can get water to the radiator. I can't tell you more about the fittings you'd need because I built the model of the case before I bought it, and all the measurements are taken from photos with a whole lot off guesswork.

what kind of rad would you recommend? i was thinking id use the ac monsta 360 i already have in the bottom then some slightly denser 60mm in the top and an again denser 45 on the back? not sure which ones to pick for the last 2 though

I'd actually go for rads with a lower fin density, they allow you to run your fans at lower RPMs. 3 360mm rads are already overkill for your hardware, so you might as well go for some even quiter operation.

obviuosly why i picked the monsta in the first place for another build idea i had but gave up. but to my knowledge you cant really get thin low fpi rads. again do you have some specifics in mind?

For the 60mm rad, the Phobya rads are good and inexpensive. I use Phobya rads in my build and they have a low fin density, especially when compared to EK alu radiators (Phobya on the left, EK right). For the 45mm rad, I have no idea.

xspc also looks interesting their v3 claims 13 fpi any thought on that?

13 FPI is like low midrange. Some rads go down to 8 FPI, others up to 22. 13 seems pretty reasonable.

Yes, but the dimensions are everything but accurate and you won't be able to determine specific fitting lengths ore check for clearance on parts. I only made it to get a feel for the look of the system and to plan a loop order. This is what it looks like.

making a model to plan the best way of routing tubes and all
