RTX 2060 1070Ti Folding Speeds

If the FAHBench Single Precision compute numbers recorded by Anandtech in their review of the RTX 2060 are any indication this card should be able to outperform a GTX 1070 Ti in Folding PPD.

 

The numbers they posted for the 2070 in the same test, which led me to buy one, met my expectations in that it performes between a 1080 and a 1080 Ti.

 

Still waiting on reviews of a 1160. If it still has the same number of Tensor and CuDA cores as the 2060 at a lower price point that card would be a really good value in terms of PPD/W

So would we be expecting around 900,000- 1m ppd? Or is that a tad optimistic? 

 

The Overclockers PPD chart shows around 1.3m for the 2070. Is that in line with what you are seeing Gorgon?

Yup,  those ARE my numbers ?

 

Those are running at max power and max stable clocks during the Folding Month.  I’ve since dialled it down to a 170W power cap and am obtaining 1.2MPPD even with the slew of soul-sucking 14124 WUs out these days.

 

I would guesstimate 900,000 to 1,000,000 PPD on the 2060 as my 1070Ti is currently yielding about 900,000 PPD on a 150W power cap.

Ray Tracing Baby!

1MPPD without really tuning it yet on a 14156 which the 1070Ti was getting ~880kPPD on, the 2070 was doing around 1.3MPPD on these and 1060 6GBs about 476kPPD

Auto Fan at ~44% (Fan Control not yet working on Linux 415.27 Driver & I broke my window manager)

running a 210W power limit but it's only drawing ~ 157W
1950MHz with a +70MHz O/C

65C as the lower card (2070 is upper) on a Z370
