counterstrike locked at 70fps

hey guys i have a gtx 970 with a ryzen processor and i had 100-200 fps in csgo, so i wanted to limit those to a bit because i only have a 60hz monitor. but now its locked at 70fps but in not a good way, in a way that the fps even drops below the 60s which is pretty concerning. i already tried fps_max in console and autoexec, nothing is working pls help

How did you lock it at 70 if its a 60hz monitor?  Did you OC your monitor?

It is running on 60hz.

Did you set any Launch options for the game? Check there as well.

Also check  your nvidea  control panel to see if the there's a vsync option there. At times the panel settings overrides the one in the software you're using.
