motherboards should never be a problem with aio's or other coolers, so probebly.

if you should get the mobo in general, is a whole other question

Hydro H100i v2 is very overpriced, costs twice as much as air coolers that will do the job just as much, if you want to overclock to 5ghz an i7 or i9 go Dark Rock Pro 4.

The Maximums XI Hero is the most overpriced motherboard on the entire z390 line up, you can get stupidly superior products like the Gigabyte Aorus Master at this price point which will be much more likely to get those 5ghz and beyond you want.

At the price point the AsRock z390 Taichi Ultimate certainly also is an option yes, still a severely better product than the Hero XI... people just don't care much about it due to lack of proper marketing like ASUS does with their massive ROG marketing.

Lately it has been ridiculous how they rebrand AiO coolers and PSUs as "ROG" and increases the original price of the product on another brand by 150 dollars or more sometimes.

Even worse is how they are actually selling this stuff... a lot.

I would consider the extreme4 too with the whole aorus linup...

the xi was a weird one for asus, but some are extremely offended when you recommend anything else than asus, and asrock used to be, so that at least helps for some

asatek noctua aio's. and I already think aios in general are overpriced...

well, I think at least we both agree about this... now back to op I guess...

Yes. The thickness of the I/O wont affect the compatibility too much.
