Any other choice than asus tuf fx505

hello

im currently surveying for my new laptop since my old laptop cannot be booted at all.

currently have eyes on asus tuf fx505 which cost Rm5110 since im from malaysia or convert which is $1242.

the spec it give to me is, i7-8750h, 8gb ram ddr4, gtx1060 6gb ddr5, 128 ssd +1tb 7200rpm SATA HDD

soo is there any suggestion or any other choice which cost lesser or same within its spec

thank you for your opinion ?

They are in the list (except for 1070 model). However be aware of poor QC from Asus

one more things i would like to ask. i mostly use laptop for gaming and office job purpose. i7 or i5 8th gen should i pick since it differ the price and also isit better to have 2 slot 16gb rather than single 16gb ram?

8300H is enough

Dual channel RAM is always better

maybe one last thing for me haha. between illegear laguna and asus rog strix hero 2 which one is better?. as i know cooling hero 2 is better. for gaming is there any difference? i just finish watching one video he did compare the laguna to hero 2. and the result for laguna is higher which use 16gb ram compare to hero 2 8gb. will there be really high diference between them?. in the picture asus result is all highest graphic.

If consider QC+QA, Laguna is better. Cooling wise both are similar

laguna, onyx or selenite which one is better in you think in term of usage, gaming and spec? thinking to take selenite since it has 5 heat pipe for cooling, nice keyboard and silent, slim and light and has 17 inch screen. im now in mess too much laptop to choose but thinking either illegear or asus. or do you have recomendation for similar or better laptop for the same spec and usage?

well helios 500 look tempting and triton too. but it more my current budget which i already push abit for illegear selenite which cost me around 7.2k. helios 500(8-9k) triton(10k+). all in MYR. not fond of helios 300 for me it pretty bad ?

Slightly better cooling, better audio, different keyboard feel. TN panel, worse QC+QA, possibly slightly worse warranty, heavier
