RX Vega 64 Not working

Adrian Angeles

So I just installed a new RX Vega 64 in my PC and when I turned on my pc it didn't detect it in dxdiag. I also downloded the newest drivers for amd and it's still not being detected. It's liquid cooler is working and idk if anything should be lit up on the GPU to know if it's turned on.

Are you sure it works? Can you try it in an another build?

Sadly, this is my only PC.. and I mean it does work since the liquid cooler is running right?

the liquid cooler is seprate from the actual gpu part... i have seen many gpu's that where did but the fans still worked..
it's a bit more complicated than that sadly

Current build: Ryzen 7 1700x, asus prime x370-pro, 16gb gskill trident z rgb, asus rog strix gtx 1070 ti, corsair rm650x, nzxt s340 elite, samsung 840 pro 256gb, 1.5tb hdd.

At this point I’d call for a replacement.

Did you plug the display cable (HDMI or whatever) into the Vega or into the motherboard?

Glad you got that figured out, now for the next thing.  I got two words for you.  Cable. Management.
