Cujo Smart Firewall, marketing ploy?

Does this really secure your network that much? I believe it doesn't even work well with VPNs.

I don’t know much about this, I can say the the Bitdefender Box has similar functions and works very well - I have it active at both my house and my grandparents’ house.

Interesting, it seems a bit expensive though. I'm guessing it's a full featured router?

Depends on what you mean by full featured. It has the basic settings like port forwarding, but mainly what you are paying for is the integrated security features, which is also the main selling point of the Cujo as far as I can tell. By the way the Bitdefender Box includes the full Bitdefender suite for every computer, phone, etc in the household.
