PC won't even boot to BIOS screen during restart when installing Win10 (HELP!)

I'm putting a rig together with my old parts. Parts that have been traded out include 4x 4gb DDR4 Crucial Ballistix Sport RAM, and a Samsung EVO 850 250gb SSD.

The rest are parts I had, and I know work. Just to give you context on the hardware:

The RAM I got used off of craigslist, but the computer has booted and even started installing windows.

The SSD was excess overflow from my office's IT dept, but I know it works - I've stored things on it, formatted it, used it for Xbox, and formatted it again.

MoBo: Asus Prime z270-k

CPU: i5-7600k

Cooler: Thermaltake something (similar to an 212 EVO)

PSU: Thermaltake Smart Series 500w 80+ bronze

GPU: Not Installed yet.

--------------

I put a fresh copy of Windows Installation Media Tool on a 16gb USB thumb drive.

When I booted for the VERY first time, it went to BIOS screen instead of booting from the thumb drive.

I went into BIOS, instead of changing the order, I went to "Boot Menu" and just double clicked the thumb drive.

Windows 10 began installation, and during this it always restarts the computer itself numerous times, right?

Well, when it restarted - nothing. The monitor detects nothing, THE BIOS screen doesn't even come up.

The ASUS (mobo) screen doesn't even come up.

The monitor has NO input.

-----------

I tried searching for some troubleshooting pointers, I read that it may be bad RAM, bad MoBo (very unlikely).... so I took 2x of the RAM out, and moved the rest around but what does this even matter if it worked before?

The other tips I found was resetting the CMOS, which I did. I popped the battery out - booted back up - and VIOLA! It booted to the ASUS screen and I entered BIOS.

I double clicked "Windows Installation Media" instead of the thumb drive itself this time...

It began to launch back into the software... but then restarted again I guess to complete it's process, and I was back to square one!!!!

-----------------

What is going on? Can someone please help? First of all - I highly doubt it's any hardware issues.

Why would I not even get the ASUS screen or BIOS screen when restarting? That makes no sense.

Please give me some troubleshooting tips!

thank you!
