Undetected Malware - How to remove ?

Elia
Go to solution Solved by JamieSinn,

Look through your program files, look for some random name that does not make sense, and or you can look into ProgramData.

So a month ago , my computer kept lagging even when opening and closing tabs. The cursor had no delay when hovering. It turned out a program called 'gpumonitor.exe' was hogging up all of the CPU space. I stopped it in the task manager and then uninstalled it even though I have not installed it in the first place.

Yesterday, a similar thing started going on. This time it's called 'Usagemonitor.exe'. It has the same effect and I end it but it will restart 15 mins later. I can uninstall as I can't find it anywhere. I think its caused by the same malware that generated the 'gpumonitor.exe'.

Can anyone help me remove 'usagemonitor.exe' and what'ever malware/virus ( I don't know) that is causing these things to happen ?

If you can explain it to me too, that would be great...
