What genre(s) of music are you into?

mxk

I'm really curious to see what other people here on the forum like to listen to.

I myself like hard rap (rap that is underground, mainstream, mostly), 80's, chill lo-fi beats.

edm/idm. So for example I listen to Alan Walker, Martin Garrix, Marshmello, Monstercat, NoCopyrightsounds, TheFatRat, Trap City/Nation, 20syl, Approaching Nirvana, Armin van Buuren, No Culture Music and Linkin Park

You can take a look at all of the Tech that I own and have owned over the years in my About Me section and on my Profile.

I'm Swiss and my Mother language is Swiss German of course, I speak the Aargauer dialect. If you want to watch a great video about Swiss German which explains the language and outlines the Basics, then click here.

If I could just play Videogames and consume Cool Content all day long for the rest of my life, then that would be sick.

Semi related, I really hate those kids, and it is dominantly kids, who discover that they like older pop more than current pop and claim all new music is trash.

Rap from basically the 1980s into the mid-2000s (with some exceptions), R&B from the 80s into the mid-2000s and some offshoot shit along the way.

Did someone say Electric Kingdom and Egypt, Egypt?

Most styles of Rock and Country. I also used to listen to JPop because I'm studying Japanese but now I listen because I'm addicted to it.

Inside some old case I found lying around.

Almost everything except for metal, (power metal is okay like mago de oz).

I go from A to Z almost with music preferences, but certainly I tend to be picky  :P

I listen to a lot of Gypsy Jazz, lots of British blues, a ton of pop and classic rock songs, a bit of J-Rock and J-Pop, a decent amount of metal but nothing too extreme. I won't really go heavier that Blackened Death or anything like that. Not crazy about modern country but I love me some outlaw tunes. Big band and swing too.

Basically I'm not picky. :)

I listen to a lot of progressive rock.

King Crimson, Genesis, Emerson Lake and Palmer, to name some of the bigger ones.

I listen mostly to Classical (Baroque, Rennaissance, and the Classical/Romantic periods, in that order, are my favorites, although I detest Opera and the piano), 60's folk and Easy Listening, some New Age (no whale calls, etc), and swing era big band intrumentals (vocals of the period are a bit corny).

Jazz is super immersive for me, and I'm also a fan of Steely Dan, who has a really neat take combining rock, funk, and jazz. My favorite song of theirs is either Peg, or Glamour Profession.

I guess I've been listening to more rap/hip-hop lately, but I do love Steely Dan.

Last.fm used to be better in the past, now it's just messy, those don't really represent that much but I have periods where I listen to random non commercial EDM, IDM like Aphex twin, Jazz with  BadBadNotGood, Igorr (is that a genre or an artist? Lol) commercial trap, nu-metal groups and glitch, also some folk of my country and classical music
