Games like OW cap at 60fps?

Specs: Ryzen 5 2600, gtx 1070ti, 16gb ram, psu is 650w

 

I feel like the computer should be able to handle the game at a higher fps. I checked the game and there is now fps cap that is on in game. I don't know what it is. It could be my monitor that's 60hz. I'm not sure though.

do you have gsync or something similar enabled that matches monitor frame rate?

Okay, well now I feel dumb. I just turned it off THEN restarted the game and now it goes past 60fps.

Thank you sir. I for some reason thought that I could just turn it off and it would change automatically.
