What is a good upgrade path for a i5 4690k?

So right now i have a gtx 970 in my pc and an rtx 2070 That hasn't been installed yet into the pc. Since I know a rtx 2070 will be bottlenecked by i5 4690k(i'll try to allieviate some of this by DSRing, framerate capping, cranking all the graphics settings up, etc), what are some good upgrade paths for a i5 4690k?

My motherboard is a z97-G43 Micro ATX Motherboard from MSI(and i'm willing to replace the motherboard and ram if need be)

Damn....
