Kingston 64GB USB Flash Drive Problem

MaxSteel
 Share

Hi!,

Kingston 64GB USB Flash Drive showing Read Only, neither I can format it nor it's showing on my computer. Once I plug in the USB that time only format option comes and when I click on format it's showing cannot format because it's Read Only.

So, how can I fix this? Files are not important but I need that Flash Drive.

Regards,

Maxwell

I had this problem with a Samsung Drive 16GB and I tried everything on the Internet for nearly 3 months and finally gave up. Its not the data but that small thing annoyed me more than anything else in the world for a while.

Try this first.

Didn't worked.

Browse online for more fixes. It could be corrupted and if this is the case fixing it is tough.

Didn't worked and there is no option or sub-folder in the registry "StorageDevicePolicies"

Hmm okay , I think that’s its time you RMA that sucker . I think you might not be able to fix it then. Sorry Maxsteel

With the EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard it's showing my files but simply I cannot format it nor with diskpart.

maybe the onboard controller got corrupted, and can't write anymore? That would explain not being able to write. If you can just RMA it, that is the easiest solution.

I only see your reply if you @ me.
