Is your motherboard capable of SATA-6G or is it limited to SATA-3G?

Yeah I fixed it. It was plugged into sata 2 instead of sata 3.

I got a samsung 860 evo for christmas and I ran a benchmark on it. It's still fast, but the read/write speeds are slower than I expected. It's a fresh install of windows so it could be driver related. Also maybe it's a bad sata cable? I'm using the one that came with my old hdd as the ssd didn't come with a sata cable.
