Bad FPS in GTA 5

(Sorry if i posted this under the wrong category)

Hi guys. So after i got my pc i havent really been impressed by the performance in GTA 5. I have an i7 8700k and a GTX 1080, but somehow i still only get around 90 FPS, where according to other benchmarks, i should get a lot more. My drivers are up to date, and I have tried almost every combination of graphics settings.

Any ideas?

YouTube tells me that GTX1080 pulls off 70-90FPS at 1080p max settings in GTAV, so it seems normal?

Thats what i found on youtube aswell, but techsource made a budget build (gtx 1050 & i3 xxxx), that got 130+ FPS avg. Other people on reddit and such with the same specs also seem to get more FPS.

They might be running with a different settings.

To get maximum settings on GTA V, you need to tweak a couple of options and that might not have been obvious to them. As someone with an RX 480, I can tell you it is impossible for a build with an i3 and GTX 1050Ti to run at 130fps at max settings at 1080p on GTAO.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

It depends on the scenario. I have a gtx 1060 6b and a 3570k, I get 75fps in most cases with most settings maxed, however at high speed driving, in the rain with lots of traffic around that will drop to around 45 FPS.
