Stiff blue switches after spilling Nestea on it

Hello all!

 

I recently did a dumb and spilled Nestea over my CM Quickfire XT blue switch keyboard. Luckily it only got to the windows and ctrl key. 

 

I removed the keykaps and dried the keys with napkins the best I could, then put alcohol all over it, injecting some into the key switch as well. Then dried the alochol with air blower. I let the keyboard sit out for a day to fully dry.

 

The CTRL key is fine, but the windows key has a very stiff click, and tends to stay slightly lowered after a click (it doesn't bounce all the way back up). Any idea how to remedy this?

Press the key a couple hundred times and see if it gets better (not a joke).

i dont now if you can with theis keyboard but you might be able to change the physical switch

Try taking the keyboard apart and cleaning each switch individually

This might sound dumb but you should try breathing with warm, moist air on your switches. It worked for me lol.
