Microphone into the monitor

Hey,

I have a laptop with the error 'no audio devices found' so there is no sound coming from the speakers. I have a monitor (Asus PA238QR) plugged into my laptop via hdmi. My question is if I can plug in a microphone to the audio jack of the monitor and be able to use discord for example.
