Using a new B360 with 9th gen Intel

Hi, I'm planning to make a new system around mid next year. I don't plan to overclock, so the plan is to get a b360 motherboard and a 9th gen Intel CPU (probably 9600 non k if it arrives next year).

The thing is, I heard that b360 motherboards need an update before it can support 9th gen Intel CPUs; so my question is, can I update/flash the b360 motherboard during it's very first boot using the 9th gen chip, or do I need an 8th gen chip to be able to boot and update it first? you will need an 8th gen CPU to flash the BIOS.

 

Also waiting for locked 9th gen i5 or i7 makes no sense, they do the same things at the same speed as the 8th gen ones.
