Asrock ab350 pro4 + ryzen 5 2600

 Share

Hello! I am doing a build for my friend. And I know that in April, there was a compatibility issue with Ryzen 5 2600 and a 350 mobo due to the lack of bios update. What I am curious of is whether or not these past months were enough for them to upgrade the mobo. Please don’t tell me to get another mobo or another processor, remain on the topic.

If you're buying it new it probably has support right out of the box. If not you'll need a 1st gen Ryzen chip to flash the BIOS.

AMD might still be doing their program where they would give you a CPU on loan and you ship it back once you've updated.

If it's new you can always ask the seller. But chances are it's already running the latest bios

Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.9 Ghz  | Gigabyte AB350M Gaming 3 |  PaliT GTX 1050Ti  |  8gb Kingston HyperX Fury @ 2933 Mhz  |  Corsair CX550m  |  1 TB WD Blue HDD

Inside some old case I found lying around.

It is new and it has the sticker on it, though it might refer to the raven ridge only
