Installed new ram, but no display

So i installed new ram. I had 8gb of DDR4 HyperX fury 2400mhz, and got a new stick of the same brand with slightly more speed. its a 2600mhz, and i know that it can cause problems, but the weird part is that it doesn't even post when i take out the old stick and just use the new one. Any tips? pc turns on, but does not recognize any device connected and i do not get a signal on my monitor

Does it post with just the old one?

Your motherboard might not support 2600mhz, or you inserted the stick into the wrong slot. IDK about the "not recognizing devices" tho

Its a Asus B350m-k motherboard. If im not mistaken it supports up to 3000 or 3200mhz. It works perfectly with the old stick. And i have tried both slots with no luck
