eh its an intel cpu they don't care much about ram speed, if it was ryzen then yeah.

Faster ram always translates to better performance, just far more so with Ryzen. 2133 is fine if you're really budget constrained, but if OP can afford a 2666 kit, I'd recommend it.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Yeah but that depends on the timings, a higher speed kit with really high timings can have a longer cas latency depending on how high the timings are

I would check your current ram right now and make sure it actually is 2133 before you do that as you may just not have xmp enabled in the bios

This would be nice. Either this or try overclocking ram like I said, it's pretty easy.

It should say the speed on the side of the sticks, otherwise go into your bios and make sure XMP (extreme memory profile) is enabled and see if your ram speeds are increased once booted into windows

nothing really sticks out that would be it, it is possible the board only supports 2133 or it might just run whatever speed it is rated for, do the sticks have any info on the side of them

looks like its only rated for 2133 which is honestly fine, a while back Linus did a video on why ram speeds don't matter all to much on Intels platform, the cpu upgrade is where you will really see the big performance difference

That's a 2133 dimm, so 2133MHz is all you'll get without an overclock.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

There is probably some software out there that would let you I just don't know what would be a good option for that, I have always either used xmp, changing settings in the bios, or msi command center as I have an msi motherboard

Overclocking would be available via the BIOS, you should search for settings that relate to ram frequency and voltage. Since your BIOS is rather basic, it might not be available to you.
