Does anyone know how to stop chrome from using your graphics card?

Disable hardware acceleration in the settings.

Settings > Advanced  > System (Scroll 'till you find it) > Use hardware acceleration when available > Toggle > Relaunch

Yes use Firefox you'll also save a lot in useless RAM utilization and painfully slow navigation ?

Might as well put that RAM to use!!!  People pay good money for their memory, then just let it sit on the bench while you're enjoying the vast world of the internet.  Psshh, sometimes i just open 20 Chrome tabs just to run in the background to make sure my RAM isn't being wasted.

This x100 ^^ Sometimes I stream in 8K while watching pornhub just to utilize my entire pc.
