How good is this ASRock board?

XR6

Hey guys,

My cousin is upgrading his rig. I'm thinking of buying his mobo, cpu and ram since he's upgraded his PC now.

He's got an ASRock Extreme6 X79 mobo.

Is this a good mobo or not? I've heard that ASRock boards aren't the best but I'm hoping the Extreme boards are an exception to the whole 'ASRock sucks' stereotype..

Thanks :)

He's got an i7 3930k (which has an upgrade path to a 4930k/4960x if budget suits it in future) and 16GB 1866MHz DDR3 RAM

Ok good.  That is a nice a CPU.  Make sure to overclock it so you can do 4.6Ghz while drinking a cup of tea.....
