Start Menu wont open

woke up this morning...booted up.......start menu simply wont open...nothing but a 2 sec thinking spin icon and,,,,,,wait for it,........nothing......

 

nothing helpful on google!

 

anyone had this issue before know what to do?

 

I'd rather not spend my whole sunday reinstalling windows etc

make sure your GPU drivers are fully updated and restart your PC.

Start menu is GPU accelerated.

 

If that doesn't work, than something is corrupted in the registry of your account (did you use a registry cleaner?). The easiest and laziest method is to make a new account, and transfer your stuff over.
