Unable to turn on BitLocker

So today I tried to enable BitLocker on my Windows 10 laptop (Acer Asprie E5-573G), but I can't do it for my C: drive. It says that the startup options are configured incorrectly. I have a TPM.
I have to boot in legacy mode because of a BIOS update from a few weeks ago. Since then whenever I try booting in UEFI mode, it just can't find a bootable drive.
How could I switch to UEFI mode back on, or at least can I use BitLocker in legacy boot mode?
