ram Mixing different/new same brand RAM sticks

Hi guys, I have a single stick of HyperX Fury 8gb DDR4 2133MHz and want to upgrade to a total of 16gb of RAM by getting another 8gb stick of exactly the same RAM from the same place I bought the first one, but would this possibly cause any problems for my system?

 

I understand that mixing different brands of RAM sticks, different speeds, etc can cause problems but I haven't heard a lot about mixing the same brand of RAM sticks at the same speed that are bought days, weeks or even months apart.

 

What are you're good/bad experiences with mixing different sticks, the same sticks bought just months apart, etc?

It should work fine, it just might not run in dual channel

as long as you run it at the same speed, it will normally work just fine. at least it always did for me

The only issue I can see not being able to do dual channel configurations. But I don't see dual-channel configurations bringing a significant boost to practical application performance anyway, so no real loss if you can't get it to work.
