How do I install this type of ssd?

If your motherboard has an m.2 slot, you put the drive into the slot and then screw it down with the screws that come with the motherboard. Looking up a video will do you much more good.

First of all your motherboard must have a 2280 M.2 port, if it does then its super straight forwards there are countless tutorials in YouTube

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

 

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

 

How many watts do I need? ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explained, group reg is bad

Only the NVMe ones, if it does not specifically state being NVMe then it is running on SATA3 just like common 2,5 inch SSDs.

 

But if you're not a professional putting up an expensive super high end workstation there is no reason to get NVMe since it won't really do any thing better than a common SATA3 SSD would for the average user case.

That Crucial MX500 is a SATA III SSD in M.2 form factor.

It will have the typically ~550 MB/sec sequential read and write speeds.
