Uneven cpu temps - i5 3570k

This is typical on intel chips. The issue is usually under the IHS with either bad contact with the IHS or bad thermal paste. Only way to really correct it would be to delid the CPU and replace the stock TIM. which on a chip that old, not really worth it unless its more for experiment and experience in Delidding.

Not to mention those chips are soldered so it's even harder.

How many watts do I need? ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explained, group reg is bad

actually, Ivy Bridge is the first to use TIM instead of solder.

Could your workload be using cores unevenly?  On Threadripper this is an issue if you are using software that assigns tasks to cores individually and one node gets more that the others.

I understand the intel chips are different, but the cores are still located in different areas of the die, right?
