Just installed the plugin and absolutely love it! May I however suggest the possibility to turn off the constant greeting message (although nicely written with greetings in random languages) it would be nice not having to wait for it to finish.

Why isnt it possible to monitor Vessel too?

Vessel doesn't have an API, so it's not possible to get the data that is needed.

That ends up being fairly resource intensive, and any time Vessel changes something it would break. Also, from what I remember of looking into it, the HTML is not nicely structured for it.

That's not to say that it is impossible, but it is difficult, which is why Linus hasn't implemented it yet.

I haven't looked at Vessel code since launch way back when... It was abominable back then, I figured it would have matured by now

It simply requests access to the things you wish to enable; To function at all it requires permissions to access *.linustechtips.com/*

If you enable YouTube notifications it will ask for access to *.youtube.com/*

If you enable Twitch notifications it will ask for access to *.twitch.com/*

However I have no idea if this extension actually works anymore. I haven't looked at it or used it for years. But since roughly 1000 people still appears to be using it, I suppose it does work to some extent? Either way, last update was roughly 3 years ago, so don't expect things to work ?

Cheers,

Linus

Does that mean that the extension is no longer officially supported?

Hey @linusforsell, could you please consider optimising this extension 🙂 I'm seeing a huge memory usage from this extension time to time. I've seen it max out at ~730MB. Please look into it. Thanks.

You are probably seeing Chrome updates breaking stuff over the years.
