Addressable RGB extension cable?

Does anyone know where to find these? I found plenty of 4 pin ones but not 3 pin. I'm not sure if the cablemod addressable strip comes with an extension cable to be able to place it in the case where I want.

It's a splitter but would do the same job. But I'm pretty sure it's for phanteks products only. Anyone have any ideas or will that actually work?

 

Or will a normal 4 pin extender work and I just break off one of the pins?

As long as the pin going in one end goes out the same pin on the other, then it doesn't matter how many pins there are as long as the connector fits.
