i7-8086K or i7-9700K?

I want to have the best and the latest CPU but is the 8086K better over the 9700K in any way that is worth going for one over the other?

Delidding the 8086k is easier, plus it's got style points for being named after a cool CPU. But the 9700k overclocks a touch easier.

I use  a i7 8086k

Yeah but hyperthreading poses a security risk which is likely a reason why Intel has ditched it. And single + multi-core workload performance is better on the 9700k so it really does not matter.

The i7 not having hyperthreading was marketing choice for the i9 CPU's but there is still talks of Intel ditching hyperthreading as they cannot fix the hyperthreading security threats. And again the 9700k has higher single core performance and better gaming performance.
