Clearly you don't understand how depreciation works.

2 years is a long time.

It's worth about half the new price by now.

jeez man that's brutal, no one in their right mind would sell a 2 year old PC part for half the price

It's worth about 3/4 to 1/2 the new price by now on the used market.

well since you changed your wording, 3/4 the price is exactly what i said

Have you thought about selling the components individually? You could make more money that way!

I thought about it, but I'd hate to just be able to sell one, and get stuck with the rest of it.

It really depends on where you live and how many other products are on the used market and what their price is.

It should be between half and 3/4 but you can only know by putting it on sale and lowering the price slowly until someone buys it.

Not many people are willing to spend thousands on used products.

thats true but i think 1300$ should be the starting price and then with negotiation it would go down slightly either way, i really dont think 3/4 the price is extreme, it's pretty damn average for the parts he has, half the price would be 850$, and i wish it was that easy to buy 1700$ systems for that cheap.

I don't know the price of used hard drives, but from what I can tell people don't like buying used HDDs very much. Probably $70-$100 per drive. Probably $1250-$1300 for the tower components parted out. Probably $1100-$1200 for the tower as a package.

All other components:

Monitor: $100-$120

XBOX One controller: $35-$45

Corsair K70: $70-$90

Razer Mamba: $45-$55

In total I think you'll get $1450-$1500. I wouldn't be surprised with as little as $1350 or as much as $1600

Well on craigslist right now I see a PC with a 1080 and a 1700x for $1k so.....

My initial 1k estimate was correct.

i don't know what you're looking at, but he has a 500GB SSD and 8TB of hard drives and an AIO, not to mention a Windows 10 copy, so that probably raises the price to 1300$
