Youtube Annotations to be deleted. ALL OF THEM.

Just saw this.

...As adoption of end screens and cards has grown, the use of annotations has decreased by over 70%. For this reason, we discontinued annotations editor in May 2017.

 

This means you can no longer add new or edit existing annotations, only delete them.

Personally I don't like this. MST3K was great with annotations for some of the more obscure references they made.

Ketchup is better than mustard.

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

Dubs are better than subs

Rest in piece. Old Youtube comments are gone and now Annotations? Next thing you know they'll start deleting old video descriptions. 2009 Youtube is getting farther and farther away. :/

On a lot of my old videos the comments are gone, all my old channel comments are gone. I've noticed this on other peoples videos too. They didn't remove ALL of them, but it's certainly a thing.

That's separate. Anotations are those annoying squares over video's.

2009 youtube doesnt exist so it cant get further away, welcome to 2019 you are 10 years behind

Good riddance i would say i always used extensions to disable/remove annotations they are extremely annoying.
