Graphics card sudden low fps

Hi everyone,

I have an ATI 5770 1GB GPU (pretty old i know) but recently for games like CS:GO, the fps dropped from around 100 to maybe 40 at best. Same goes for World of Warcraft, from about 80-100 fps to about 25-30 fps.

The only way to get the games performing as they were is to open up the PC, remove the Graphics card and put it back in.

Is this a sign I need to upgrade or is there something I can do to stop this recurring issue?

Games keep updating and even if they worked fine years ago eventually they might simply need more than your hardware can handle.

If you do plat A lot of CS:GO and WoW you might want to upgrade even if just to a GTX 1050 , I mean the ATI 5770 by all means already paid for it self in longevity.
