Is changing a GPU heatsink and shroud a thing?

Cozzy Flannel

Hey all - first time poster.

I recently just built my first gaming pc. I got a pretty cheap deal on a OEM blower style gtx 1080. I was wondering if there were companies that sold replacement fan cooling solutions for GPUs? I don’t want to go the water cooling route but didn’t know if there was anything like this.

thanks!

I know you can sometime find some separate AIB heatsinks (e.g MSI) on sites like ebay.

I also know that there is also the NZXT G12 bracket you can pair with an AIO in order to cool your GPU. I think that's one of the better options regarding reliability to price ratio

I'd use the x42

RGB & Fan control ULTIMATE GUIDE !

An evga sc cooler would be a good option.

Isnt unsightly like the artic stuff.

I’d do a hybrid kit myself but oem cases make that difficult.
