Razer Blade no power/charging

Hello Everyone,

Over thanksgiving my laptop suddenly would not turn on anymore. Battery won't charge etc. I have tried removing the battery, and using AC power, still would not receive any power.

Called Razer, they will not repair this issue for me, they quoted that it could be upwards of 1,000 to replace the motherboard.

Seems as this could be a simple fix with the power delivery, has anyone had this issue or have any easy fixes?

Ah Razer, the Apple of PC gaming

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k (won) - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

Linux Proliant ML150 G6:

Dual Xeon X5560 - 24GB ECC DDR3 - GTX 750 TI - old Seagate 1.5TB HDD - dark mode Ubuntu (and Win7, cuz why not)

How many watts do I need? Seasonic Focus thread, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Haha yeah i see that now.... Need help to fix this one.

Im not very well versed in Razer repair; but I remember Louis Rossman repaired a Blade with a failed Audio IC that also would not turn on. Honestly, if they wont repair it then I would recommend going to a 3rd party shop or using it as a guinea pig for learning how to repair laptops. Pull out some spec documentation, a multi meter, and a soldering iron!

Brands I wholeheartedly reccomend (though do have flawed products): Apple, Razer, Corsair, Asus, Gigabyte, bequiet!, Noctua, Fractal, GSkill (RAM only)

Wall Of Fame (Informative people/People I like): @Glenwing @DrMacintosh @Schnoz @TempestCatto @LogicalDrm @Dan Castellaneta
